yesterday evening enjoied rumble fish dvd (just few minutes before coppola interview on italian television)
great movie, very intense and a special cast – … how great mickey rourke was and is – have you seen the wrestler?
well, rumble fish* made me start thinking about some good black and white movies made after the black and white era
*(even if it is apparently b&w:  can use the expression daltonic movie?)
here are a few some

1 . the elephant man – david lynch 1980
2 . rumble fish – francis ford coppola 1983
3 . down by law – jim jarmush 1986
4 . la haine – mathieu kassovitz 1995
5 . les amantes réguliers – philippe garrel 2005

in a small town near trieste opens a museum dedicated to modern art
project – claudio farina with starassociati arch (link)
small page about the museum (in italian) – link

The creation of the new Museum of Modern Art in Muggia, an Istrian-Venetian town south of Trieste, constitutes an interesting new element within its cultural zone of reference. The series of events that lead to its realisation – a donation from Ugo Carà of some works to his native town, the acceptation on the part of the authorities of the idea of creating a new building suitable for housing them and key financial support from a banking foundation for its construction – now requires a commitment to management in order to establish the building as an important part of the museum circuit for Trieste and the surrounding area.

The materials used in the design – such as wood and cor-ten steel – hark back to Muggia’s shipbuilding past and recollections of the legendary cooperative that was based right here.
